St. Thomas is Minnesota's largest independent university. It was founded in 1885. St. Thomas accepts male and female students and welcomes students of all ages, nations, ethnicities and religions. Currently there are over 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students from all 50 states and 129 countries attending St. Thomas.
The university's large network of alumni and its close connections to the business community offer students the possibilities of on-site learning and internships. The Twin Cities area is home to many major U.S. corporations, including 3M, Cargill and Cray Research. St. Thomas' academic programs take advantage of these business connections to give students the opportunity to bring learning to life outside the classroom.

The campus and its 'vibrant Twin Cities' location gives students access to both education and entertainment. On campus there are many clubs and organizations that allow us, international students, to expand our horizons and learn about new cultures and topics.
