What is the process for international students to apply to St. Thomas?

Undergraduate Programs:

Graduate Programs:
Graduate students must follow the application procedures for the program to which they are applying. See: www.stthomas.edu/academics for a complete listing of graduate programs.
In addition to the application form and supporting documents required by the program you should provide:
Academic admission is granted by the graduate program. The International Admissions Office will then provide the paperwork necessary to apply for your F-1 visa.
What is the application deadline?
Undergraduate Programs:
Priority* deadlines for those living outside of the U.S. and incoming freshmen living in the U.S.:

*St. Thomas operates on a rolling admission basis. This means that we review applications as they are received. However, in order for International Admissions to guarantee that application materials will be reviewed in time for you to obtain your visa and arrive at St. Thomas in time for orientation, you should submit all materials before the priority deadlines.

What are the English proficiency requirements at St. Thomas?
All non-native English speakers who have not received a degree from a U.S. English-speaking institution are required to provide evidence of English proficiency. The following list contains tests and programs the University of St. Thomas accepts as evidence of English proficiency. The minimum scores/levels are listed as follows:

Where can I take the TOEFL?
Test centers are located worldwide. For the nearest location you may visit the TOEFL website at: www.ets.org/toefl/
Does St. Thomas require international students to take the SAT/ACT?
No. The only required test for an undergraduate international student is the TOEFL (or equivalent English test) if they are a non-native English speaker.
Does St. Thomas require the GMAT or other test scores for graduate students?
This depends on the graduate program to which you are applying. Please contact the individual program for specific requirements.
