Athletics are a strong part of the UST tradition. Whether you want to be a member of a varsity team, compete on one of our club teams or just play for fun in one of our intramural (IM) leagues, we have a variety of programs at your level of competition.
The 180,000-square-foot Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex houses an aquatic center with an eight-lane pool and a diving area, a 2,000-seat arena for basketball and volleyball, a field house with a 200-meter track, fitness facilities for both cardiovascular and weight training, aerobics rooms, locker rooms, Athletic Department offices and the Health and Human Performance Department.
Varsity sports have been a part of the St. Thomas experience for more than 100 years and St. Thomas teams consistently finish at the top of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). For more information, visit the Athletics Homepage.
Club teams offer a chance to compete in a non-traditional sport against other colleges locally and nationally. Teams practice regularly, and both men and women may participate.
Intramural sports are a great way to stay active at UST, and various leagues and tournaments are offered throughout the year. All you need to participate is a desire to stay active, competitive, and most importantly, to have fun!
