I chose the University of St. Thomas because it is the biggest private school in the Twin Cities area. Attending a private school gives me more chances to have direct contact with professors. Also, I like the business program they have here.
I like how the entire community of St. Thomas sticks together in hard times; during those times the students act together and you can see a live example of unity in front of you. Although they students come from different backgrounds, they leave those differences behind them and act together.
I like the location of the school. It is in the Twin Cities metro area which gives me a chance to meet people from all over the world. Some of them come for business because the area has a lot of unique companies and corporations such as Target; others come for pleasure "to go shopping at the Mall of America."
I am involved with a lot of different activities around campus; I try to go to whatever I can. Most of the time, I go to GMSA events and try to meet students through the Office of International Services. I am part of the Mentor Program and it keeps me busy. Also, I like participating in other sport clubs on campus.
I would advise them to take the chance and come study here at the University of St. Thomas because it is a very interesting experience. When they are here, they would get more than just an education, because first they are going to interact with people from all over the world, second that is going to contribute to their overall experience. In other words, it is a lifetime investment and not just an education.
