First, St. Thomas is the place where I truly feel at home. People here including faculty, students and staff members are unbelievably nice and always available whenever I need any help. Second, St.Thomas provides me with the best of both worlds: a small college atmosphere and the excellent facilities and resources of Minnesota’s largest private university. Third, being among the few institutions offering scholarships and great services to international students, St. Thomas definitely shows its enormous concern and appreciation for international students like me.
I love the liberal arts education that St. Thomas offers. It enables students to attain general knowledge about a variety of disciplines such as math, philosophy, and fine arts in order to develop general intellectual capacities. Also, through community services, St. Thomas helps students to be aware of the responsibilities we carry within the community we participate.
Whereas Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes, the Twin Cities area is the land of 10,000 things to do. There are 5 professional sports teams including the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx and Wild. More than 250 dining establishments are located in Minneapolis alone and 57 museums in Minneapolis/St. Paul, just to name a few.
