St. Thomas offers a full array of academic options – 84 degree-granting majors, plus individualized majors, and pre-professional programs in dentistry, engineering, law, medicine, pharmacology, physical therapy and veterinary medicine.
Is that enough to choose from? If not, St. Thomas offers you the opportunity to take classes and pursue majors through its affiliation with the Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (ACTC).
ACTC is a cooperative entity formed by St. Thomas and four other area private colleges. Students at all five campuses may cross-register for classes at any of the participating colleges. Schools in the ACTC program with St. Thomas are Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Hamline University, Macalester College and the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul.
Of course, ACTC classes don’t have to be part of your work toward a major. Any degree-seeking undergraduate in the day division at St. Thomas is welcome to enroll in any ACTC class, as long as it isn’t a class offered on the home campus. ACTC also operates a convenient intercampus bus system.
St. Thomas has approximately 200 students in exchange courses each semester. A booklet that covers cross-registration policies and procedures and that includes a list of each ACTC school course Web site is available for all students.
