Further Studies

The Murphy Institute at CUNY will offer a new M.A. degree in Urban Studies, starting in fall 2012. The basic features of the program are outlined below. A more detailed description of the program, including its curriculum and faculty, click here

This new graduate program is well-suited to students seeking an inter-disciplinary social science degree with a particular  focus on urban issues and problems, public policy, and the delivery of public services. It provides opportunities to study diverse working-class populations and urban communities; to examine a range of urban institutions, including unions and other worker organizations;  and  to consider grass-roots organizing among other strategies for solving urban problems.
