John Krebsbach

Responsibilities

  • Work with directors of Academic Counseling, the Academic Support Center, and the Enhancement Program-Disability Services to provide leadership for those programs.
  • Develop, assess, revise, and strengthen first-year programs for new students
  • Work with faculty on issues related to undergraduate faculty advising
  • Serve as a liaison between students and faculty regarding academic issues
  • develop programs and support structures for the academic probation, suspension, and dismissal process
  • direct the appeals process for students requesting medical withdrawals

D.M.A. Clarinet & Clarinet Pedagogy from University of Minnesota

How did I get here?

  • I came to UST in 1979 as a faculty member in the music dept. (band director, music education)
  • Assisted with summer registration in academic counseling 1985 - 1987
  • Assistant dean of academic advising 1991 - 1994
  • Served as chair of music dept from 1995 - 1999
  • Returned as associate dean of academic advising in 1999

Interests

Boundary Waters canoeing and camping, cross county skiing and snowshoeing (Winter is my favorite season!), sing with the Minnesota Chorale
