Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising for all current, undergraduate day and evening students via in-person, e-mail, and phone appointments and walk-in advising services.
• Supervise academic counselors
• Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Students to plan academic aspects of summer Orientation & Registration program; participate in selection and training of student orientation staff
• Provide resources and support for faculty advisors

How did I get here?

After graduating from UMM, I worked within student services at Anoka-Ramsey Community College (Coon Rapids, MN).  While earning my M.A. at BGSU (Bowling Green, OH), I was a graduate intern at Adrian College (Adrian, MI) and worked with student organizations, student activities and new student orientation.  After graduating from BGSU, I returned to Minnesota and was hired at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, as an academic advisor in the College of Liberal Arts.  My work history at the University of Minnesota also includes enrollment management in the School of Nursing and working as a Center Career Consultant in the Health Careers Center.  In this role, I helped undergraduate students explore health career options and prepare for health professional program application processes.

Interests/Spare Time

I enjoy music, movies, baking, jogging, travel/road trips, summer, dining out and being with friends and family.
