The Saint Paul Seminary prepares men for ordination to the ministerial priesthood of the Roman Catholic Church. By virtue of the sacrament of Holy Orders, these candidates are configured to Christ, the head and shepherd of the Church. They will pastor communities of the faithful through Word and Sacrament.
St. John Vianney Seminary, which serves undergraduate seminarians, is located on the university's main St. Paul campus. The seminarians live and worship as a community and attend classes at St. Thomas.
