From the Office of the President

It has been my privilege and pleasure to serve since July 1991 as the 14th president of the University of St. Thomas.

During that time, St. Thomas has continued to evolve and mature as a comprehensive Catholic university dedicated to serving the needs of the community. I am heartened to see so many people -- faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, benefactors and friends -- join together in common cause to help us provide the best possible education.

As complex as St. Thomas is in many respects, its purpose remains simple. We strive each day to carry out our mission statement, which says, in part, that we seek to educate students to be "morally responsible leaders who think critically, act wisely and work skillfully to advance the common good."

We have enjoyed success as we have carried out that mission. As we continue toward an even brighter future, I look to all of our constituents and members of the larger community for guidance and support, and I welcome your comments about the University of St. Thomas.
