The St. Thomas Career Development Center prepares students for life after college by providing on-campus interviews, job fairs, internships and job postings. That’s why 94 percent of 2014 graduates were gainfully employed, enrolled in graduate school, working as volunteers or enlisted in the military within six months of graduation.
Each spring hundreds of students and alumni connect through the “Take a Tommie to Lunch” program, which offers current students the opportunity to talk one-on-one with an alum in their field. Alumni share their professional experience and advice on job searching, networking, interviewing and balancing life and work.
Ninety-two of the top 100 corporations in Minnesota are located within 15 minutes of our St. Paul campus. This includes the corporate headquarters of 3M, Target, Best Buy, General Mills and Medtronic, as well as the state capitol. UST students work paid internships at many of these corporations while still living on campus.
