Course Description:
This course emphasizes the impact of cultures on one another in the growth of the Catholic community in today's United States. These world and theological views and their practical applications in the piety, politics, and everyday life of Catholics will be the primary focus. By summarizing significant events and characters in the history of the Catholic experience, the student will develop an understanding both of the different ethnic experiences and the theological concerns which created a pluralism among American Catholics that makes teh Church of the United States truly catholic. Prerequisite: THEO 101 (or 102 and 103)
