It explores a variety of ways of interpreting apocalyptic literature with special attention given to the meaning and significance of its mythical imagery and symbolism. It also examines the nature and function of apocalypticism as a worldview and as a theological response to universal and compelling questions such as the justice of God and the problem of evil.
