Master of Divinity (M.Div.): Seminary Program

The Master of Divinity Seminary program is a four-year degree that uses the cohort model for learning incommunity.

The program’s human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral requirements reflect the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope John Paul II in Pastores dabo vobis (PDV) and the norms of the Program of Priestly Formation (PPF) of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops, and the requirements of the Association of Theological Schools of the United States and Canada (ATS) for Master of Divinity programs.

Pre-Theology

The Saint Paul Seminary provides a two-year Pre-Theology program for priesthood candidates who lack traditional theologate preparation in theology and philosophy, as outlinedi nthe Program of Priestly Formation (PPF). Pre-Theology students live at The Saint Paul Seminary and attend classes at both the University of St. Thomas and the seminary.
