This retreat is designed for those beginning to pray in a personal way as well as those who have been praying for years.
In a Retreat in Daily Living, participants commit to a half-hour of prayer each day and go about their daily lives as usual. Prayer material relating to the theme of the retreat is provided each day. In addition to a daily period of personal prayer, retreat participants meet for one hour each week. Professor Susan Stabile offers input on prayer and on the dynamics of the retreat experience. Professor Stabile will provide prayer material for each day of the following week during the one hour session and participants will be able to share their experience of prayer in small groups during this time. Each session will be held in MSL 242 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. A light lunch will also be served.
The four Advent Retreat in Daily Living sessions will be held on:
Tuesday, November 24, 2009
Tuesday, December 1, 2009
Tuesday, December 8, 2009
Tuesday, December 15, 2009
The Advent Retreat in Daily Living is designed to prepare participants to welcome the Christ Child into the heart and home. Participants will reflect on the long Advent preceding the birth of Christ and will consider the role and preparation of Mary and Joseph in the coming of Christ.
