The university administration partnered with student leadership to implement a print management program on campus. The program goals are to track campus printing activities, educate everyone who uses printing resources, and implement methods for reducing excessive paper use and printing.
Every student at St. Thomas is given a quota (allotment) for "free" printing and will be charged a per-print fee over and above that allotment. The allotment will be $40 for Fall, $40 for J-Term/Spring and $40 for Summer. Each semester is defined as follows:
August 19 - January 1
January 2 - May 19
May 20 - August 18
The $40 allotment is equal to 400 black and white (160 color) letter size prints. Each page printed beyond $40 will be charged back to the student at a rate of 10¢ per black and white (25¢ color) standard print. In comparisons with other universities, we feel the allotment given to students is generous. Other institutions either give a smaller allotment or no allotment at all. Printers in student labs will automatically know who to charge based on the workstation login information. To check your printing activity click here.

Please visit the service center web site at http://www.stthomas.edu/servicecenter
Student Employees
Student employees whose job requires them to make copies or prints for the department, (on department devices) will not be charged if they enter the index code in the pop-up on the workstation they are logged into. By entering the index code in the pop-up these prints and copies will be charged to the department.
Students in Clubs
Students in clubs who are authorized to charge items on behalf of their club will enter the appropriate INDEX code on a departmental machine when making copies.
To request a credit for prints made for a club or organization please fill out the credit request form provided at the link below and send it via intercampus mail to Print Credit #5051. A report will be run to verify that the charges were incorrectly charged and when credit is issued an email will be sent to the student and the supervisor listed on the credit request form.
