Project planning is an integral part of technology implementation at the university. IRT continually manages 30 - 50 active projects in the portfolio at any given time. Projects range from business process redesign for a department to campus-wide technology initiatives.
IRT defines a project as a work effort:
Each project in the portfolio follows IRT's adopted Project Management Methodology. While there are many formal project management models available, IRT has put together a methodology to suit the unique needs of the division as well as the University of St. Thomas. Projects are approved and prioritized based on the university's mission and strategic themes and priorities.
For highlights of IRT's featured projects check out the Project Showcase.
If you have a project in mind, but are not sure where to start, take a look at IRT's project resources, or contact IRTHelp@stthomas.edu for assistance.
