The Catholic Studies Scholarship

Every semester, Catholic Studies undergraduate majors and minors are invited to apply for several different competitive scholarships, including the David and Barbara Koch Scholarship, the John Nemo Memorial Scholarship, and the Raih Family Scholarship. Students apply for all these scholarships through a single comprehensive application form, the Catholic Studies Scholarship Application. Awards are typically beween $1,000 and $2,000.

Any undergraduate student registered at the University of St. Thomas who is pursuing a Major or Minor in Catholic Studies is eligible for the scholarship. Application deadlines vary from semester to semester; information will be posted here and relayed to all eligible students as it is updated. Some, but not all, of the scholarships take exhibited financial need into account in calculating awards.

Current Scholarship Form (for Spring 2010) – due November 13, 2009 before 4:00 PM

Rome

Additional competitive scholarships are usually available for Catholic Studies students during the semester(s) they study in Rome. Information will be made available to eligible students prior to going abroad. Furthermore, the International Education Center offers considerable scholarship resources for students studying abroad.

Latino Leadership Scholarship

Incoming students who are active in the Latino community (and meet all other appropriate qualifications) may apply for the Latino Leadership Scholarship, offered through the Center’s Beyond Career To Calling program based on a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment.
