This spacious 1 BR apartment is completely furnished in a contemporary style with a single, full bed, dresser, chair, etc.  It has a private entrance use of the patio and yard on the side.  Included is a full bath with shower, new electric light, heat, fab combo, and an updated outlet by the sink, base cabinet with new matching double wall cabinets.  Across the room is a wall mounted towel heater complete with radio.  The flooring is newly tiled ceramic.  The kithenette includes a refrigerator, microwave, cabinets, and eating space.  A washer/dryer is on site.  The whole apartment is lit with new ceiling lights.  One complete wall of upper and lower cabinets is divided by conter top which includes a desk space.  Appointments scheduled before Sat. Catholic Women's House Openings

The Women’s Houses have one year-round spot and one Spring-only spot for the 2014-15 school year. The application can be found on the Habiger Institute for Catholic Leadership website: http://www.stthomas.edu/cathstudies/leadership/communities/default.html 

The application should be delivered to Laura Stierman (Sitzmann Hall). Kristen Grant is the chaplain. The rent for our fully-furnished houses is set by the University and is billed directly to your student account, per semester. It is a little less than a double room in Dowling. The rate this year was $2,798 per semester but we have not yet gotten the rate for the next year. No year-round lease is required: ‘move-in’ is in late-August/early-September and ‘move-out’ is late May after graduation. Included in the rent are most utilities (no internet service or a landline), a J-term option (no extra rent) and a parking permit. Director of Campus Ministry and Parish Life

Newman Center Christ Church is a Catholic parish made up of students, faculty and staff from St. Cloud State University and St. Cloud Technical Community College, as well as individuals and families from the surrounding community who are integral in the ministry to university students.  The Director of Campus Ministry and Parish Life helps facilitate connections with the campus faith community by providing pastoral care to students, faculty and staff.  This position also animates the permanent community in mission to the campus as an example of dynamic Catholic parish life and in assisting students in their personal appropriation of faith.  This position helps, as well, to fulfill pastoral needs of the parish and community at large.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively in servant leadership, ministering within the campus communities assigned to the parish, the Newman Center parish community and a three-parish cluster that shares two priests.

Purpose of the Position: To assit The Basilica of Saint Mary Marketing & Communications Department with various projects. 

Scope of the Position: Support the mission, vision, and values of The Basilica of Saint Mary while performing job duties.  Reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications and is responsible for the following duties:

·         Maintain/update The Basilica’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and blogs

·         Layout of our Weekly Newsletter in Microsoft Publisher

·         Take photos at Basilica events

·         Format and write copy for eblasts to Basilica parishioners

·         Writing projects in Microsoft Word, including writing for print and the web, namely press releases and media alerts

·         Distributing press releases to local media and conducting follow-up

·         Supporting the Director of Marketing & Communications on-site at large events where media is present

·         Miscellaneous administrative tasks, as needed

Qualifications: As a "Traditional Church with a Modern Message," a high level of comfort with the mission of The Basilica is vital.  Must have a demonstrated commitment to working in a collaborative environment.  Required:

·         Current college student with relevant coursework in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or English

·         Strong written and oral communication skills

·         Experience using social media

·         Ability to meet deadlines and work independently when necessary

·         Reliability and adherence to a routine work schedule to be mutually agreed upon

·         Able to work approximately 8-10 hours per week

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Publisher (training can be provided in Publisher)

Junior High Language Arts Teacher at Holy Family Academy

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES  

Faith Formation at St. Mark

Faith formation at the Church of St. Mark in St. Paul is currently looking for volunteer catechists and assistants for the 2014-2015 school year (Wednesday evenings from September 24-May 6).  We need enthusiastic teachers for 2nd grade First Communion preparation as well as for our 3rd and 5th grade classes.

St. Mark's is also building a core group of catechists for the smallest members of our parish.  Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for ages 3-5 will begin this fall during the 9am Sunday Mass.  Based on the Montessori model for teaching and learning, CGS is rooted in Scripture, liturgy, and respect for the child's rich relationship with God.  We need both full and part-time teachers, and formation with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will be provided to those interested.
