Minor in Engineering Education

The University of St. Thomas’ Schools of Engineering is excited to announce a new minor in Engineering Education designed for undergraduate education majors who want hands-on experience in engineering. The minor program is a rigorous introduction to engineering content with emphasis placed on how to apply the material in P-12 classrooms.

The minor courses are taught, using the facilities of the UST School of Engineering, by faculty with a wide range of engineering and education experience.

The minor program consists of five classes:

ENGR 130 Fundamentals of Engineering (3 credits)
ENGR 171 Engineering Design and Graphics (3 credits)
EDU 327 Engineering in the P-12 Classroom (3 credits)
and Engineering electives (8 credits) (chosen with your minor advisor)
TOTAL: 20 credits
